The Trowse Triangle The area is on the southeast fringe of Norwich and is relatively close to the city centre. In terms of topography it is the meeting place of two river valleys - the Wensum and Yare. The dominant land use is urban and mainly industrial, giving way in the east to a more natural landscape. Here lies Whitlingham Country Park with its two Broads recently created by gravel extraction. The area, although bounded by roads and crossed by rail and waterways, is characterised by poor access. |
Consequently it's a rather neglected and forgotten part of the city that separates nearby communities from the countryside on their doorstep.
It is nevertheless a place of contrasts and local interest.
