advocating any development at all. The answer is that whether we like it or not, this area IS going to be developed! Much of it is derelict industrial land, which is included for near-future use in the Council's Local Plan. Developers have bought it for that purpose. So whatever our viewpoint on the ideal use, the issue we have to face is HOW it should be developed, rather than whether.
